Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. Rachel says that a hairdresser taped Toto r's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Toto r became bloody and upset.
Rachel recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
Wow! My Dog mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
Rachel took Toto straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. Rachel has accused Wow! My Dog of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.
Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Marianna De las Vegas is a Wow! My Dog customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel shared: "Juliann told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Juliann claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."
Gate News called Wow! My Dog and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Gate News click here that they were looking into the allegations. However, when questioned about Wow! My Dog, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
